The Details

What makes it Kobu

The James spacious rooms, suites and bungalow seamlessly blend contemporary design with classical, coastal elements that hold true to a Northeast, beach town. Situated one block from the beach, when you enter the property at The James through our courtyard passage, you will find solace and privacy from the outside world.
In 1893, a determined group of New Yorkers arrived in Bradley Beach to realize their vision of a beachside escape from Manhattan. Upon settlement, the property that now hosts The James was constructed in 1904 as a Victorian style, single-family home. Now the space is a stylized enclave for those looking to enjoy a unique refuge from their daily stress.
