The interior of Graanmarkt 13 is a fusion of class and fashion. It looks rugged and rustic, yet somehow fresh and modern at the same time. Architect Vincent Van Dusen sculpted the large open space with a robust linear theme in mind. The furnishings are minimalist, yet all are statement pieces that tell a story. All of these things put together create something that stands above the rest.
The rare concept of Graanmarkt 13 spreads out of the apartment to the floors below, where there's a restaurant and a shop, both with the unique flavour of Graanmarkt 13. Founders Tim and Ilse carefully select everything in the shop themselves. Some sourced on their travels around the world, some curated just for them. All have their own story and are designed to be objects for life.
Graanmarkt 13 is a retail, dining and home-away-from-home concept that occupies an entire townhouse in the centre of Antwerp. The traditional building has been reworked by Vincent Van Duysen, one of Belgian’s best architects, and turned into a household name by owners Tim and Ilse.
The initial idea was to include a bed and breakfast on the top floors of the building. But they decided to turn all available space into one luxurious apartment. Described as ’their best-kept secret’ the apartment is now available to rent for a short or long stay.
