Treehotel, The Mirrorcube – Harads

Harads, Sweden, From £348

About

This treehouse's location is based on the idea of creating a platform high up on a sharp hillside overlooking the Lule River valley. You can reach them via a horizontal bridge nestled in the trees.

The mirrorcube is an exciting hide-out among the trees, camouflaged by mirrored walls that reflect their surroundings. The base consists of an aluminium frame around the tree trunk, and the walls are covered with reflective glass. The interior is made from plywood with a birch surface. The six windows provide a stunning panoramic view. A 12-meter-long bridge leads up to the tree room.

Treetop ethos

Treehotel’s whole ethos is to reconnect with nature while being in an environment that stimulates your imagination. They set out to create an environment away from the stresses of busy life, which inspires guests to look to nature for peace and respite.

Architecture

Each treehouse juxtaposes the surrounding environment in a way that oddly fits. The structures are creatively designed to ignite that childish fantasy. Didn’t you always dream about sleeping in a spaceship suspended in the Swedish countryside?
