The experience, end to end

From concept to the images that outlive it.

We carry the weight of the production: the concept, the program, delivery on property, and the visual record, structured to make an experience straightforward for your team.

Where partners come in.

KOBU retains the creative through-line. Where a project requires local logistics, technical production, transport, staffing, or specialist delivery, we assemble and direct the right partners around the brief. Photography and film are integrated when the brief calls for them, not by default.

Ways to engage

Built around what the experience needs to do.

Creative Direction

KOBU develops the concept, format, program, and creative framework for delivery by the partner or an appointed production team.

Creative Direction + Production

KOBU leads the experience from concept through delivery, assembling and directing the required collaborators and production partners.

Experience + Content

KOBU develops and produces the experience together with its photography, film, and editorial expression.

Scope is developed around the property, audience, duration, and level of production.

The moment ends. Its visual life does not.

Photography is KOBU’s core practice. Experiences extend the same point of view into physical space, bringing together place, people, programming, and visual storytelling.

When photography and film are planned as part of the experience rather than added at the end, they create a lasting body of material for partners, participants, editorial storytelling, and future programs.

Frequently asked

Questions partners ask.

What does KOBU lead, and where do partners come in?

KOBU leads the concept, the program and its curation, the creative direction, and the production of the experience itself. Where a project needs local logistics, technical production, transport, staffing, or specialist delivery, we assemble and direct those partners around the brief and keep the creative through-line.

Can KOBU work with our production team or agency?

Yes. Under Creative Direction, KOBU develops the concept, format, program, and creative framework, and your team or an appointed production partner delivers it. We can also work inside an existing brand or campaign system.

Whose property does an Experience take place at?

The partner’s. KOBU conceives, curates, and produces experiences within properties owned and operated by others, working alongside the property team rather than in place of it.

Does an Experience have to include photography or film?

No. Photography and film are integrated from the outset when the brief calls for them. When they are, the visual language is developed with the experience rather than added at the end, which is what makes the material feel true to what happened.

What does an Experience cost?

Scope is developed around the property, audience, duration, and level of production. The formats range from a single evening to a week, so we quote each engagement rather than publishing a starting price. Sharing an approximate budget in your inquiry helps us recommend the right format.

What kinds of audiences do these experiences convene?

Invited audiences assembled around a purpose: founders and operators, cultural and creative communities, press and partners, or a property’s own guests and owners. Guest curation is part of the work, and the audience is defined alongside the format rather than after it.
