Frequently asked

The commission, in detail.

What is included in a focused property commission?

The full arc, from discovery to delivery: creative alignment, shot-list and schedule development, fully produced shoot days with art direction and professional capture, individual retouching and brand-aligned color grading, and a web and print-ready library with licensing structured around use. Travel and accommodation are additional to the creative fee.

Can KOBU work through our PR, marketing, or creative agency?

Yes. We work as a partner to top PR, marketing, and creative agencies, often on retainer, to make sure their clients are seen in the best light. We can set the visual direction or execute within your existing creative and brand system.

Does KOBU only photograph hotels?

No. Our work extends across hospitality, villas, residences, real-estate developments, and other place-led projects. The common thread is a property with a distinct identity and a team that needs to communicate it clearly.

Can the library include people, service, food, or surrounding destinations?

Yes. The scope can combine architecture and interiors with lifestyle, hospitality, food and beverage, wellness, staff, landscape, and destination imagery. Talent, styling, and additional production are quoted where required.

How does paid-media licensing work?

Paid social, digital advertising, print, performance campaigns, and out-of-home are licensed separately from owned-channel use. Rights are quoted around the selected images, territory, duration, and media.

Can broader rights be added later?

Yes. Many clients begin with an owned-channel library and add paid or broader usage when a campaign is funded. Perpetual or full buyout structures can also be quoted at the outset.

Do you travel internationally?

Yes. KOBU accepts commissions worldwide. Travel and production costs are quoted according to the location, schedule, and team required.

What is the usual turnaround?

Most commissions are delivered within three to four weeks of the final shoot day. Expedited or phased delivery can be coordinated when a launch or campaign requires it.
