Book

This serene escape, brought to life by French and Irish visionaries Fred and Rosena Charmoy, redefines contemporary travel by blending Morocco’s rich cultural heritage with modern design and immersive experiences. Set within a lush olive grove, the farmhouse boasts breathtaking views of the Atlas and Jbilet Mountains. Once the rural atelier of French painter Patrice Arnaud, this bohemian sanctuary has been reimagined into a vibrant hub for art, music, and wellness. The property embodies the spirit of metamorphosis—its name, "Farasha," meaning butterfly in Arabic, poetically reflects the transformation infused into every corner of the space.

The Details

What makes it Kobu

Farasha Farmhouse is more than a place to stay—it’s a living space that inspires connection and creativity. The year-round programming includes intimate rooftop concerts, artist-led installations, and ceremonial events rooted in Celtic traditions. These curated experiences transform the farmhouse into an experiential canvas, where guests can engage with art, music, and design in meaningful ways.

The property features two upper-story suites, a garden-facing double bedroom, and a detached mini villa, or ‘casita,’ centered around an open-plan living area with a bar and show kitchen designed for seamless entertaining. Farasha Farmhouse blends artistry and functionality with custom tapestries by Beni Rugs, installation art by Amine El Gotaibi, and an oasis-style garden crafted by Marius Boulesteix, featuring a regenerative farm and a 50-meter pool framed by shaded daybeds and butterfly-attracting plants. Thoughtfully restored vintage furnishings, treasures from Diana Vreeland’s estate, and a hand-painted orange juice cart by Laurence Hermes enrich the space with stories of Moroccan craftsmanship and creativity.
