The Details

What makes it Kobu

Combining historic touches with contemporary design, Studio Festen harnessed the legacy of Portofino itself for one of their most exciting projects to date. Hugo Sauzay and Charlotte de Tonnac reveal how they transformed Splendido Mare into a chic spot of relaxed sophistication.

The artwork at the Mare captures the elegance of the 1950s and 1960s, and the tranquil coastal surroundings. Over 75% of new artwork is by Italian artists, ranging from painting to photography, textiles and sculpture.
